India witnessed a single-day rise of 389 coronavirus infections, bringing the total tally to 4,46,71,219 on Saturday, as reported by the Health Ministry. Concurrently, active cases decreased to 5,395. The death toll rose to 5,30,608 with three fatalities, one of which was reconciled by Kerala, according to ministry data.
Active Cases and Recovery Rate
Active cases now account for 0.01 percent of the total infections, while the COVID-19 recovery rate has reached 98.80 percent. Over the past 24 hours, there has been a decrease of 365 cases in the active caseload.
Recoveries and Case Fatality Rate
Recoveries have increased to 4,41,35,216, while the case fatality rate stands at 1.19 percent.
Vaccination Drive
As per the ministry’s website, a total of 219.90 crore doses of Covid vaccines have been administered in the country so far under the vaccination drive.
