India reported 1,839 fresh COVID-19 cases on Monday, with the number of active cases dropping to 25,178 from the previous day’s 27,212, as per data from the Union health ministry. The total COVID-19 tally now stands at 4.49 crore (4,49,71,469), with the death toll reaching 5,31,692 after 11 fatalities were reported.
Active Cases and Recovery Rate
With 25,178 active cases, they represent 0.06 percent of the total infections. The national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.76 percent, indicating a significant number of people recovering from the disease. As of now, 4,44,14,599 individuals have recuperated from COVID-19, while the case fatality rate stands at 1.18 percent.
Vaccination Progress
According to data from the ministry’s website, a total of 220.66 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered under the nationwide vaccination drive. The vaccination campaign continues to play a crucial role in curbing the spread of the virus and protecting the population against severe illness.
