Truecaller, a leading caller identification app, has launched an AI-powered call recording feature for iOS and Android users in India. This new feature allows users to record both incoming and outgoing calls directly within the Truecaller app, offering greater control and flexibility in managing conversations.

Rishit Jhunjhunwala, Managing Director and Chief Product Officer of Truecaller, emphasized the value of this feature for both personal and professional purposes. With the ability to record and transcribe calls in English and Hindi, users can efficiently manage their communications.
Premium Plan Inclusion
The AI-powered call recording feature is integrated into Truecaller’s Premium plan, which starts at Rs 75 per month or Rs 529 per year. This inclusion provides users with access to advanced features, including call recording, to enhance their Truecaller experience.
Simple User Interface
For iPhone users, accessing the call recording feature is straightforward. After answering or making a call, users can navigate to the Search tab within the Truecaller app and tap ‘Record a call’. This initiates a call to the recording line, facilitating seamless recording. Users receive push notifications when recordings are ready and can access them within the app.
Dedicated Recording Button
Android users benefit from a dedicated recording button integrated into the Truecaller dialer. With just one tap, users can start or stop recording their calls, ensuring ease of use and convenience. Additionally, users on other dialer apps can access a ‘floating’ button to initiate or end recordings.
Future Expansion
While the AI-powered call recording feature has been launched in India, Truecaller plans to extend its availability to additional markets and languages in the future. This expansion reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing user experiences and meeting diverse communication needs.
