India has registered eight new coronavirus infections, with the active cases totaling 194, as per the latest data updated by the Union Health Ministry on Monday. The death toll stands at 5,33,294, according to the data updated at 8 am.
Covid-19 Statistics
The country’s total Covid case count now stands at 4.50 crore (4,50,01,392). Among those infected, the number of individuals who have recovered from the disease has risen to 4,44,67,904, reflecting a national recovery rate of 98.81 per cent, as reported on the health ministry’s website.
Fatality Rate and Vaccination Drive
The case fatality rate remains at 1.19 per cent. India continues its robust vaccination campaign, with 220.67 crore doses of Covid vaccine administered across the country so far, as per the ministry’s website.
